Tesla - beta testing

It was a weird experience when one went past me the other day, I was on foot and never heard a thing!

It makes you wonder in a few years if or when the majority cars are Duracell powered ( :D )
what it'll do to pedestrian incidents, they step off the kerb now, as it is, completely oblivious to traffic they can hear.

Already increased around our city station with many prius cabs :(

I think it's because they're still a relative rarity - once they become the norm people will adjust their behaviour.

In Amsterdam, bicycles are the silent killers - but it's the dozy tourists getting hit, not the locals.

Some of the all electric cars have noise broadcast for the benefit of f######ed pedestrains. Not sure if the Teslas do - if I get around to organising a test drive, I'll check (after a play with the "Insane" button...)

I drive a Nissan Leaf it's got a whistle sound under 20mph which is a frequency that is highly audible

They will be killed or seriously injured.
