After a morning photographing the Red Arrows HH with Nikon D850+grip and 500PF, I had some pain in my right elbow. It got progressively worse over the week and I struggled to hold my Camera.

Doctors diagnosed 'Tennis Elbow' and sent me to physio, who gave exercises and did deep massage (it hurt).

Anyone else had this problem, did it heal ....

Now using mono/tripod all the time which severally restricts my photography !

I get it occasionally and as soon as it's threatening to strike, I use a tennis elbow brace that I got from the big river and that seems to keep it at bay.

I use tubigrip when I feel a joint starting to complain or if I'm doing an activity likely to bother a joint.

Works for me.

Many years back I wore an elbow grip to work when TE was playing up, one of my Polish workmates suggested a small pot-like yoghurt-of jelly daily, couple of weeks, all good, something to do with the gelatine, worth a try and no nasty taste.

Thanks to all for your replies, Physio has given me some more exercises and suggested an arm band. But mostly rest and try to avoid aggravating the injury...
So off on holiday without a camera for some R&R ;)

i had it in my left arm when i used to match fish a lot, it was the constant feeding/landing fish that did it, i had one of those compression bands but it only eased it, the only thing that worked was rest, very very painfull
