Yes
i recently bought a telephoto lens for my fuji s5000.

on ebay

it stated that it was 10x zoom and also stated that if my camera was 10x zoom [which it is] it would double it to 20x zoom.

well on receiving it, it nowhere near doubles it just goes a little bit closer.

am i doing something wrong or have i been conned.

i emailed seller and he told me if not satisfied send it back but offered no explanation.

what do you guys think?

I too made that mistake when I first got my camera. These telephoto lens things are not really lenses, just converters. And tbh they don't really work. I never use mine cos of the loss of quality and sharpness and the fact I'm not quite sure it actually gives me that much more magnification. I would advise try and get your money back if you can.

There is a converter that costs around £90 I think - it's a 1.7x and is actually built for olympus cameras but I've heard it very highly recommended. The money is probably better put towards a DSLR really.

they will give me my money back but it wasnt that dear i cant really be bothered to send it back.

so i will just put it down to experience :suspect: :suspect:

thanks for replying

ps no pics from u today??

I had an Olympus converter for my Fuji a few years ago.. it was great.....a 1.7X I think called a TCON 1.7 Not expensive. Try that if Iwere you.
