Bought the Teknix FF195S Fridge Freezer about 6 months ago which as a 2yr guarantee ,now there is water in the bottom of the fridge, but seem unable to find website contact address/telephone number. Anyone of you got a TEKNIX product or how to contact them?
 
Is the fridge cold and holding temperature?
Is there moisture/water on the glass shelves?

I recently had this and it was a bad fit on a seal causing it to stay open if I was a bit careless closing it not shutting properly and it was partially defrosting.
 
Search for 'contact teknix' in Google, it's the first hit. They have a separate warranty site.
 
Don't forget, contact the seller first.

Is it a `frost free` type, or one that has to be defrosted manually every now & then? Some have an internal drain hole that may need to be cleared. (usually have a little plastic prodder fitted)
 
Not sure if you would class it as frost free, but it does have an Internal drain hole, not sure about (usually have a little plastic prodder fitted).
The place were I bought it closed down about a month ago or I would have gone there first.
 
If there wasn't anything supplied to clear the drain hole, try using something to make sure it's not got blocked. (a straw, maybe?)

Did you pay by CC?
 
A cable tie or a pipe cleaner will clean out the hole for you.
 
I have tried inserting a normal straw which went in about 4cm (i presume it got to a bend), I then tried a thinner straw which had been used with a WD40 spray can, that went in all the way. There is still some water at the top of the drain hole, not sure if it should be like that? Will see how it goes on.
 
Had a similar thing happen to my fridge freezer........

Found the drain hole in the freezer was blocked..... well when I say blocked there was about an inch of ice covering the hole! Set about it with a sharp knife & metal skewer and it was clear in about 30 mins of digging & scrapping.

There had been a couple of instances where the door had been left slightly ajar which led to partial defrosting so I guess that was probably the cause.

I also found a piece of polystyrene in there which the delivery guys had failed to remove when they installed it 4 years before that!!!
 
A pipe cleaner is the best way to clear the drain. If it's blocked with ice, no need to poke it with skewers etc, just pour a bit of hot water in!
 
Would suggest the drain hole is blocked with a bit of ice - I've had it happen previously on a frost free fridge freezer...

I got some kitchen towel and dried all the excess water, then got a little hot water and a scewer which I warmer and got rid of the ice blockage and all fine again - the water drains to a container which is normally situated above the condenser / motor at the rear of the unit and then evaporates from there...
