Yes
A documetary about the 13 year old paparazzo Austin Visschedyk is on Channel 4 now, might be worth a watch.

Watching it. Quite interesting, and I can see the argument from both sides. Paris Hilton is actually coming across quite well so far, which I genuinely didn't expect!

I watched this and had really mixed views coming away from it,

Before I used to say, well its the pap's that make the celeb and they should be thankful of them chasing them all day.

After watching it, I felt the young lad just wanted fame himself but didn't know it or why? He enjoyed the celeb's and how they spoken to him but the final 5 minutes did sum it up for me when they went back a year later.
So for me, he was a pap, but for the wrong reasons although he was doing it for the right things (contradiction I know).

All in all, I hope he goes's away and learns the other aspects of photography (which I beleive he is) and turns in you a little JoeyL or someone like that.

Great and insightful documentary. It was interesting for Adrian from Entourage to turn the camera on the paps from a celebrity's point of view. Paris Hilton is a phenomenal business woman and obviously not the ditzy persona she portrays in the press. It was also good to see the young lad pursue portrait photography in the end.

I have had to work in the press section for some celeb events a few times and spent having spent a few hours with the hardened paps, I have to say I don't envy their job. It's a dog eat dog vocation. Their is also a soulless aspect to their photography. Instead of a photo stealing the subject's soul I found that that type of photography robs the photographer of theirs'. This documentary illustrated that pretty well.

Television eh? Notice the bit where Adrian asked what Av mode was and he more or less described it as what P mode does...Anyone notice that??? Didn't even mention Aperture. Interesting little **** though i thought and thoroughly enjoyed the camera porn.

13 ?? Looked more like 10 to me.

More than likely with two Svengali parents in the background raking in the proceeds from their novelty venture ....

Fascinating viewing though.

I don't know, at the end it seemed he had done alright (financially) himself, not many kids his age have a brand new M3 as their first car!

I think Adrien came across well and it was interesting to see the change in the kid as he grew up, and as the camera crew dug deeper into his life.

Probably one of the best photography-based documentaries I've seen lately. Shame it was stuck on so late.

Fell asleep whilst watching, but did enjoy it, especially when adrian bought a camera - brand new 5dMk11, lens and a flash. Didn't bother with a bag and dropped a box as soon as he walked out the door - that could be expensive!

what was the camera he bought, did he say only 7 other togs had it?

Thanks for the link Will. Found the programme very interesting. The young lad matures and I hope he does well shooting celebs without being a Pap.

The Celeb presenter did a great job too, even though I've never heard of him, but is obviously famous accross the pond.

Yeah thanks for the link... wanted an early night but made for good viewing.

Interesting seeing it from both sides and I guess he did well making his cash while he was a 'cute kid' and then moving on after the cute factor has gone which would put him on a level playing field with the other togs.

Parents must be mad though letting him out like that though!

tried the 5D2?

I did put 4OD not 40D... ;)

Anyways, that was one of the best documentry I've seen recently. The way he changed at the end was great, although to be honest all the way through he was just trying to get the 'shot'.

I shared the same experience as him when I first picked up my 1D too... Was surprised he downgraded camera model at the end though.

Really, really enjoyed that documentary, thank you for putting a link to it! I can't believe he's a year younger than me!

I'm not a Canon person but it could only be the 5D or 1D.. it did look like my friends' 5D mkII but again I know nothing about Canon, apart from the fact that they make nice printers

Thought it was a nice documentary, any other similar docu worth watching?

It's on that link posted on 1st page, thats where I watched it

I think the kid had a 1D Mk*s, the presenter bought a 5D2, when he decided to join in with the Papps.
