Yes
Weird Science, Breakfast Club, Karate Kid, Back To The Future, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, Ferris Bueller were all made with 5 years of each other. Am i looking through rose tinted glasses? i love all these films still today. What do teens watch now bloody twilight?

I think the movie world as a whole, not just teen films, is going the same way as the music scene. Since the advent of the internet, more especially so with fast broadband where we can download anything at the drop of a hat, it's made it all "throwaway" in nature.

When I was a lad films were ether war or cowboy. And that was it. And mostly black and white

I'm sure I remember my dad saying similar when I was watching the likes of Ferris Bueller.

I'm sure todays kids will be saying the same before too long.

When I were a lad, we had proper films to watch - Robin Askwith anyone ?
LOL ah yes the "confession films" they were always good for a laugh :D

I was quite a fan of the hammer horror films, Christopher Lee, Vincent price, Peter Cushing
But not to be confused with the later Hammer house of horror TV series.

And of course the carry on franchise, Sid James, Bab's Windsor ( flashing her boobs at every opportunity)
and of course the bumbling Jack Douglas.

Watched one of my fave younger years films today in fact the wife spotted it and recorded it for me ,burt Lancaster in " the Crimson pirate" complete with the cruise liner behind the pirate ship scene :banana::banana:

Our lass made me watch the breakfast club and pretty in pink the other night...back to back

that's 3 hours solid of big hair, white nikes and questionable pastel shaded fabrics, I was already in an uncle buck/back to the future hangover.

I thought I was ok but today I caught myself staring longingly at stone washed denim...o_O

Top it off with St Elmo's Fire and you could have been in serious danger

Star Wars. Nothing more need be said. ;)

I think the film industry has gone the way of the music business insofar as investors are much less willing to risk huge amounts of money in unknown quantities.

It's a far safer bet to make another 'Star Wars' or 'Dad's Army' film than risk losing money in a potential turkey.

Some kind of wonderful was the best John Hughes film, should have watched that instead :p .

Let's not forget The Lost Boys.

Breakfast Club is a classic. So is Ferris. Can still watch them today. Flat Liners is another of the decent Brat Pack type films.

Weird Science is another that I always liked. I also liked the Weird Al film 'UHF' which nobody else seems to have ever heard of.

I wouldn't think teenagers today would watch films. They'd be watching stuff on youtube or making stuff to go on to youtube.

Good film :)
and
Breakfast Club, Karate Kid, Back To The Future, The Lost Boys, Ferris Bueller. Had to take the Goonies out, not my cuppa.
Hey you guys,

Taking goonies off is sacrilege, brilliant film
