Honestly, I change my mind as often as a BBC Weather Forecast.

I'm looking for some good, honest C&C on my site please. I'm not overly happy with it, can't quite place my finger on it.

Software wise, it's currently using Slideshowpro which is great. I'm thinking of going fullscreen perhaps on the next design though.

Thoughts?

Working fine on my mini with firefox. I did have to search for the contact details as they are way over on the right but I am zoomed in to cope with small screen (but others on mobile devices might be as well). Was beginning to wonder if you had just done a gallery and didn't want business from it! Other minor point language in bio is a little clunky.

There are some nice images but it is missing one vital ingredient - words

If you are directed to the site you need to hunt to find out who you are and what you do.

Creating a simple strapline, offering your services and pointing to the static pricing page would be a start

There's no call to action

Hope this helps

Not sure if its just the work connection but it took a long time to load, long enough that I didn't bother navigating else where on the page.

OS X 10.5.8
2.66Ghz
4GB Ram

Connection time 5PM (So you can gauge against other times)

the colours and style of site dont go with your style of shooting....especialy the great car shots
there in no info at all except on the contact page which isnt the best place for it, it needs to be on the main page, what if people dont look?

I agree with this. I'm not so sure about the brand image you've got going. Currently when you go to the website it looks like one of those free image hosting sites. The blue is not nice. I'm not liking the header you have. You're brand / logo in the top left could do with a bit of spacing around it. I reckon 20px top and bottom would improve it visually a great deal.

The blue background gradient just doesn't work for me, especially with the orange border and text. Sorry :(

What are the + on the navigation items for? If it's not required the remove.

With the slideshow I think it's common practice to put the thumbnails at the bottom. Most slideshows I've seen and build either have on image navigation or the thumbnails along the bottom. You should move the thumbs to the bottom.

When viewing the site the slideshow and images don't appear dead center. Looks like there might be around 40px padding to the right.

I'd place the facebook logo at the bottom in the footer. It just looks out of place where it is.

I would put your home button on the 1st position left of your menu rather than 2nd from the right, it seem strange to me to have it there, may just be my personal pref though, I will have a closer look later and give my thoughts, I also agree with quite a lot of what has all ready been said

In actual fact you don't need the home button. Most people know that to get home these days you just click on the logo.

I was quite disappointed when I clicked on the Automotive link to find exactely the same pictures as the front page slideshow. Also not keen on the slideshow on the front having different sized images in it.

Yes, I was thinking on the automotive section to have more specific galleries, split into different shoots or models of cars for example. I'm torn between getting as much info about what I do on the front page at the expense of real estate for photo's though. What do you think?

Absolutely no need to apologise :) I need this sort of crit

It's ok for me both from home and work but I'll take a look at the flash footprint and see if it can be made smaller. The images are generally 900px on the longest edge and roughty 150-200kb each

Thanks, I'm not a 'wordy' person (really? you might say :) ) working on it though :)

Thanks for the comments all. I'll hopefully grab some time between work and shoots this week to start on a new design :)
