Long term camera enthusiast. My first camera was a Practika SLR back in the 1960s. Upgraded to a Pentax ME in the 70s and then got a semi-pro Pentax LX around 1980.
Joined my first camera club in Toronto in 1983. Moved back to the UK in 1986 and got a Canon EOS. Got a 2nd EOS to go trekking in Nepal in 1999. My main photo interest with the EOS was people photography.
In 2000 I bought the 1st of 3 small compact digital cameras which I used when visiting many National Trust and other gardens in England.
In 2001 I started going to artistic nude workshops using my film EOS SLR, but gave this up in 2002 when I got married.
I bought my first digital SLR in Feb 2008 - a Nikon D300 with a 18-200VR zoom. I am interested in flower photography and so bought a 105VR Macro lens shortly afterwards. Later in the year I got a 70-200VR lens for bird and animal photography (e.g. lions and tigers at WHF).
In Sept 2008 I joined the local photo club in Rainham, Kent - Parkwood and started to do some more studio shoots. This allowed me to get back into glamour photography. I now regularly book studios for glamour and artistic nude shoots. I now have a 24-70 lens which is good for studio work.
