Tamron Lens Warranty

Hi

I'm sure I read somewhere that Tamron offered a 5 year warranty on their lenses. Does anyone know if that is right because in the one I just bought (Sony fit 18-200mm) and the warranty card only says 1 year.

Any one know about the 5 year warranty offer?
