I've been offered a Tamron lens with a Nikon AI adaptall can anybody confirm that this will fit on a D40?

Serial number is SP 19AH

Yeah it'll fit - Tamron Adaptall lenses haven't been made for years.

Some were quite good - it's be all manual, including exposure and metering.
 
Thanks! I'm not bothered about doing it all manually just wanted to be certain before i bought it.

How long is it since they were made?
