Hi, I have just bought a Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro. My initial photos are pleasing enough, but I would like to get those super close-ups of insects and bugs that make your skin crawl! What would you recommend with respect to extension tubes etc? What additional kit do I need? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers, Hugh

Canon own brand are super expensive so I'd avoid them. Kenko brand are well thought of and the newer ones will work with EF-S lenses as well as EF.

The Tamron is the standard EF fit so an even cheaper brand will suffice, jessops, triplus and others.

The one thing that you have to make sure is that they have the contacts that allow communication between the lens and the camera as it just makes life so much easier.

Thanks for the advice. I will now explore. Cheers, Hugh
