Tamron 80-210mm F4.5-5.6 AF

I am pretty new to dslr photography and have been offered the above lens, for my sony alpha, for £40 it is still in its box and has never been used. Any thoughts

if you're pretty new.. for £40 you cant go wrong for a zoom lens like that! gives you more to experiment with and find out what you prefer (primes... low zooms or telephotos). bite the bullet and do it if you arent worried about cash
