It's quite a long range to have without image stabilisation, even if you have a reasonably steady hand, unless your going to use a tripod, Tamron do a 18-270mm with VR![]()

It really makes no difference what lens you use ...if you need VR and if your hands shake to much you aint gonna be a good photographer or sniper
We did have PCs in the 70s But they cost so much we couldnt afford them the first being the fairlight system but it was aimed mainly at Richard Claydermann lol
Interesting vapourware - that would be imposssible to design, very wide, and very fast with VR.
