Any users of this lens that could pass on their experience of it.
Thanks

Not this one in particular, but this type in general: great for a single lens to do everything, but will offer lower image quality than a decent shorter range zoom and will be relatively slow to focus compared to a SAM lens or many of the screw driven lenses.

I have had a few 28-200s and also an 18-250. When I went to Canada a couple of years back I ended up preferring the kit 18-55 SAMII lens, for its faster focussing, brighter image and higher image quality. That's not to say the 18-250 was poor, and I have some 20"X30" canvas prints from shots I took using it that look great, but it just wasn't *as good*. The long end in particular is weak - true for most superzooms - and if the long end is important to you then make sure you can try a copy first.
