Hi

When I got out for a day with my camera, I seem to be carrying more and more things, all my camera equipment fits into a Lowepro Nova 1 aw, but then I end up taking with me a ruck sack which often has a drink, a waterproof, maybe a map and sometimes my bacon sarnies.

I am looking at getting a rucksack which will allow me to carry everything and have some room for expanding my camera goodies, I have looked at the Tamrac Adventure 7, but the non-camera bit didn't look too big. I am considering the Tamrac Adventure 9, but not sure if its going to be too big.

Does anyone have any reviews or comments on it?

Thanks for any advice

I have the tamrac expedition 3. The quality is fantastic and everything fits fine, however, as it is a back pack, swapping lenses or any other bit of kit is a pain in the a***. I wish I had gone for a crumpler bag os something with quicker access.

I know i can buy add ons for it but just thought I would mention it as a down side to the backpacks.

Sorry, haven't used the Tamrac 9, but can recommend the Lowepro Rover II AW. Lowepro have 20% cashback on new bags at the moment as well so is a bargain if you shop around (I bought mine from Morris Photo).

I can fit in a fair bit of kit, it has a tripod pouch and a spare area for non camera gear including two small outer pockets and two outer drinks pouches. I have used it on day treks of at least 6 hours hill walking where it was perfectly comfortable including the weight of the tripod. Good shoulder straps and waist belt. It doubles up as a flight cabin bag as well as the Rover Plus is slightly bigger and when filled is over the theoretical limit.

Hope that helps.

I was in the same situation a bit ago. I narrowed my choices down to the Tamrac Adventure 9, the Lowerpro Rover, the Lowepro Primus(Brand new model) or the Naneu Pro Alpha(available on import from the US). In the end I went with the Naneu Pro Alpha woodland cammo special edition;

as it had everything I wanted in a bag. You access the camera compartment from the back, so you don't have to spin the bag around when on muddy ground. Its got a well thought out tripod section, and it comes with a AW cover. It should be with me any day now, so i'll tell you what its like when I get it.:)

I can't fault the Adventure 9. Had it for a few months now and it goes everywhere with me. Takes my D50 with Sigma 70-300 attached, also have my Nikkor 60mm, 2 kit lenses, spare batteries, flash gun, charger, cleaning kit and memory cards all in the front pouch. The top part is very roomy and easily takes a thin waterproof jacket, Lowepro filter case and other bits. Then in the rear pouch I stash my books and magazines. It's also very comfortable with all that weight in it too, even when carrying 2 water bottles.

Go and buy one NOW :clap::clap:
