Talking of Clarkson last night....

Tonight it's James May's turn.

What's he doing??? Making a motor bike and side car out of Meccano and driving it round the IOM TT course with Oz Clarke in the passenger seat. Must be a bit of a follow up to his bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool canal exercise.

Just watching it now. Quite funny and interesting so far and showing the island in a really good light. I remember hearing about it during TT Week while he was doing it, so I've been looking forward to seeing the programme.

Unfortunately, Mrs Nod wanted to watch Sherlock (which sent me drifting off to the land of ... well, ME!) so I missed May's programme. Sure it'll be on iPlayer though.

It was quite twee really. Not sure how much to believe of his commentary, but it was a good way to spend an hour.
Hell of a good advert for Meccano.

I thought it was a bit dull

When they had the bike built in the first 10 minutes I thought it was a 30 minute programme

10 minutes of build, 50 minutes of very slow riding

The train set one was much more interesting
