Hi,
Hoping this is the right section but by please let me know if I should get mods to move elsewhere!
my company is running a staff talent night tomorrow to raise funds for a charity that we have been supporting all year. It will be a real hoot and god knows what will happen, however, they have asked me to take photos. (thankfully that gets me out of performing!)
Normally I do equestrian/dog events and more recently llifestyle and yard shoots so this is a completely unexplored avenue of photography for me as most of my stuff is natural light with some flash fill for the yard shoots etc. Obviously I will be getting there early to look at the set up and talk to the lighting guys but does anyone have any advice on this type of thing? It's all very low key so there is no pressure but I would like to try and get some good shots of each act especially the children.
They have professional lighting gear being operated by a professional lighting bod FOC so I'm hoping low light isn't going to be too much of an issue as I feel that using flash would be rather obtrusive to those on stage struting their stuff.
My kit will be Nikon D3S with 70-200m (f2.8) and D700 with sigma 24-70mm.
Thanks to anyone that can offer suggestions!
