AG Photolab in Birmingham. Select and pay for the service you require, then just print the freepost label on their website to send the film to them in your own envelope. They'll send a post paid padded envelope back with your first order for you to use next time. https://www.ag-photolab.co.uk/delivery-12-w.asp

I use Filmdev, a bit cheaper than AG but we each have our preferences

Filmdev don't scan to CD, plus postage to AG is free, it's not with Filmdev. Swings and roundabouts, but immaterial if you want a CD, hence me not mentioning them. Plus I think Filmdev might be shut at the moment too? Edit, just checked and they're shut for black and white but still doing C41.

well AG came out to over £12.98 with process/scan to DC/return postage

Photo-hippo just got back to me - free returns/ same deal £7

You pay for postage to Filmdev, or with AG (and Peak I think) you get Freepost to them, but pay for return postage. Some labs you pay both ways. See the nifty price estimator for comparison...

Most labs other than Filmdev will offer a CD, sometimes at extra cost. Peak is another good choice.

Plus £3.55 postage, as a 35mm film is classed as a small package not a large letter.

Fair enough, as I said each to their own. I don't need a CD for photos I store the scans in the cloud easier access anywhere. But the OP did say CD so...I missed that  :$
