Taken all your advice and done a new site

Hi Lee

I hope you dont mind, but I've proof read the text on your website and I have suggested a few subtle changes to grammar and wording for you to consider. Some may see this as being pedantic, but I think it important to be detail conscious, particularly as this is your shop window.

Apologies if this is unwanted.

My changes would read...

Commercial

Commercial services include website and catalogue images, events, product photography, press and PR work.

Based in Bridgend, South Wales and covering the surrounding area, Digicase Photography has over 10 years experience in most aspects of photography.

Services include portraits, weddings, portfolio, landscape, events, journalistic, sports, product and commercial photography, photo editing and restoration.

Offering a wide range of media, including prints, canvas, photobooks and DVD slideshows to display and cherish your wedding day memories.

We can shoot in our studio, outdoors (weather permiting), on location, or in the comfort of your own home. Creating memories that can be cherished for a lifetime.

It seems very slow.
What's Actors head hots?
Simple Viewer hooked into Flickr must slow it down, and contravenes the Flickr guidelines can't use Flickr, the stream or it's API's for commercial use without their approval. Why can't you host them on the site?

I like!

I'd add some more text content to the homepage, especially something like this sentence;

Services include portraits, weddings, portfolio, landscape, events, journalistic, sports, product and commercial photography, photo editing and restoration.

Plus your location - It'll help in the SERPS.

Change your page title to something like

Wedding Photography, Portrait Photography, Commercial Photography, Sports Photography - Digicase, Bridgeend.

Or something like that - Better again for the search engines.

The design is so much cleaner and fresher than your previous incarnation - 100 times better I'd say.

Have you got the All in One SEO plugin installed? If not, add it - It really is good!

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't want to change the simplicity of the 1st page so I am guessing if I add text in white the SE will pick it up but won't be visable. I have the SEO plugin it's very good indeed.

I'm trying to remember what the last version was like.. but it's good to see the contact and location details displayed prominently.

The copy seems a bit impersonal though, why not have a go at writing it in a couple of different styles? I'd make sure to include your names, at the moment it's a rather remote "digicase photography" rather than Lee at Digicase which is altogether more human and taking the first step to establishing a relationship with the potential client. Nigel mentions friendly and relaxed, but I don't think that either your copy or his suggested alternatives is either of those.

Much, much, better than the WIX site :)

I'll quibble over grammar, however.

I think you need to decide what person Digicase Photography is, a person or a company: I or we.

Home Page:
Professional photographer based in Bridgend South Wales

[needs a comma after Brigend, BTW]

Navigtion: Find Us

About:
Digicase Photography has over 10 years experience and cover most aspects of photography.

...

We can shoot in our studio, outdoors (weather permiting), on location or in the comfort of your own home. Creating memories that can be cherished for a lifetime.

and that last sentence isn't a sentence - either replace the full stop before Creating with a comma or change the wording to make it into a sentence. Probably the latter would be preferred. However, I'll be picky and point out that you're not really creating memories, but helping people keep them, or something like that. :)

What's Actors head shots?

These are what are used in the "Spotlight" books & website where the agents look for the actors etc they are after - my son is in the children's version of them!
