Yes
I am wondering about getting an Android tablet for a trip to Vietnam.
I've had a couple of Kindles that I didn't use a lot, in part as they stopped support for blueOs (the app for my music streamer)

I guess my main uses will be for the flights and to store/edit some photo's and maybe to make a few notes, some sort of journal I guess.
When I get back home it might be used to show photos

Any ideas - I really don't know anything much about them, but it seems that the Samsung Galaxy A9+ is highly rated.
Lots of storage will be very useful, and I have a 256gb micro SD card ready and waiting.
I don't think it'll get enough use after the trip to justify anything too expensive.

Thanks for any help!

When my Mum was looking for a tablet with similar requirements she went for a Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 64GB which offered decent performance for a reasonable price compared to the S series tablets which were a big step up in price but without much benefit for my Mum's use.

She's had it a while now and still very happy with it so I think it's definitely wroth considering. I think some of the Xiaomi and Huawei tablets are better value for money although I thought the Samsung was the better choice for my Mum as she's familiar with Android Samsung devices and it's a well known tablet so easier to find information and any help needed for it.

Thank you both for your help.
I don't know what the s9 fe adds so I'll take a look.
Much appreciated!

I volunteer with a group the recycles electrical devices. If a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_10_1_p7510-3894.php) is any use to you, I have one sitting here that could be yours for the cost of the postage :) It's pretty old but it will show photos and play sounds. There's also some sort of iPad if you prefer.

Other than that, whatever you get, I would highly recommend checking out a shop like CEX. They sell recent kit second hand for reasonable money - 5 year warranty and they buy back after your trip :)

We see a lot of recent etch coming through that just gets smashed.

That's a very kind offer Jonathan, thank you!
I've actually got a Samsung A9+ arriving today - mum decided she would give me one as a treat (she forgot my birthday and has just realised!!)
As for CEX, I've only looked in our local one once and everything seemed to be very highly priced, ie almost new prices. Maybe I should have another look just to see.

Again, your offer is very much appreciated!
