I'm looking to change my plan to one of the full Monty deals from T- mobile, but before I lock in or 2 years, I wanted to know if anyone has any concrete information as to whether they call the speeds of the data? I'm currently on vodafone, and use about 100GB a month (no wifi at my place so have to tether my iPhone) and need a decent consisting speed. Anyone have any ideas?

There seems to be lots of conflictong stuff online as to Inthey do slow or dont.I'm currently on vodafone, and use at least 100GB a month (no wifi at my place so have to tether my iPhone) and need a decent consisting speed. If the vodafone deal works and lets you use 100GB a month without being kicked into next week why would you switch?

North Wales is a 21CN area so I'm surprised there is no broadband available at all.

I am not sure that the T mobile allows tethering. Ofc if you know how to get around that then I guess it doesn't matter....

T-mobile dont throttle or charge, however they dont let you download anything or stream between 4pm and midnight once youve used your "fair usage"

However i have gone over several times and streaming and downloads have never actually stopped working at all. In fact if i hadnt had a text to tell me i'd never know!

As for tethering, you have to pay either a daily, weekly or monthly charge.

Once you tether for the first time, a page comes up on the laptop/device browser page giving you pricing info etc

The Vodafoen dealIs just a temporary thing - it's called their 3 month data test drive. It's because I use it as my main Internet - so downloading movies, software, apps etc - it's on all the time! Annoyingly, it looks like the full Monty has now stopped including tethering in their plans.. :(

Have a look at three. Think they still include tethering on their one plans.

T-Mobile do allow tethering on certain plans, but I don't think any of the mobile providers will put up with 100GB a month use (many fixed line providers won't either).

The OP should perhaps consider obtaining their movies by other means.....

Have you thought about joining BT broadband and then using their openzone connections? I believe it's free to customers and they are about most places.

Can't give any more details as I'm not with them but might be worth a look?
