is there anything i oughta know about using flash (or working in general) in a swimming baths, I've already worked out that everything will need to sit for a few mins to demist once I get there.

occurred to me I oughta ask a few minutes ago leaving soonish :p

doing some rehearsal shots for a rather interesting photographers play

theres a thread in meeting place ;)

White balance is strange inside pool halls. Do a custom WB.

Also believe it or not you may find the noise (sound) very distracting as it echo's all over so just be patient when asking or commanding instuctions.

Don't fall in.

Make sure you don't get aggressive if someone asks why you have a camera inside a pool.

Hope you have a good time.

Also if you are using flash, you may want to try changing from evaluative to average to see what difference it makes to reflections.

I was only thinking for strobisty goodness, I've got 3 fast primes and my70-200 so I wasn't worried about needing it but i want ot be creative as this lot are a bit nuts

pretty sure that that was chase jarvis... ;)

gutted my client for a high production pool shoot pulled out, a mate had a waterproof case I could borrow and everything :( not sure I can self fund an equivalent :(

nope no dropping but it took a whole 20mins for them to desteam up ffs

waterproof casing would be lushhhhhh, raped my 85mm prime it was just spot on for in there

as its talk lighting (and I forgot a set up shot) I shot ambient for a while (which sucked balls) then put bare speedlights in the two corners of the room about 2 stops above ambient, none of my gels looked vaguely like the light in there (I checked by putting a gel on and popping it - so scientific) I'll sketch something later in PS then share ;)
