Sussex: A jet plane just flew over my house

Someone on the radio at the weekend said a plane landed at East Midlands Airport.

Must've been a delivery of caviar.
 
A bit late now, but if you look at http://www.radarvirtuel.com it shows you what's airborne - click in the plane and it gives you its details. Play around with the layers. Not sure if military would give much away though. I saw the two planes that made it in to Glasgow from the US over the weekend before it appeared on the news. You can see a few flying around northern Europe now.

Thats a really cool tool. Does it show just Europe?
it looks like there quite a few that are airborne and i thought the sky would be clear.
 
photon i saw a plane land at east mids at the weekend dont know what type i was to far away.

yoby these exercises happen about four times a year every year they take place in airspace that civilian aircraft dont fly.

It does show US - move the map across and it appears. However, the aircraft numbers appear to be a bit on the low side. Like Sunday afternoon I was showing somebody it and there was nothing around New York, which isn't possible. And now, at the time of writing, even though it's around midnight over there, there are only a handful of planes showing around LA, and even less on the east coast. So, who knows.
 
Looks like Lufthansa jave decided to fly. Watched several go over this morning on the way to the US.
 
Live in East Lancashire and most days of the week it looks like the M6 of the sky !! Have'nt seen a thing till 9-30 this morning and one solitary high altitude vapour trail heading south - nothing since either.
Must say the clouds look lovely at the moment !!!!!!!!!:bonk:
