I had a look at one today. What shocked me it did power up and shut down faster than a MacBook Pro

Yes. It's a phenomenal device. The screen is beautiful and the aspect ratio is excellent, no more short screen syndrome.
I can also log in using my face!
Battery life is insanely good as well, I can get a day of office use out of mine.

Does it work LR fast does LR load up quick is 8gb memory enough?

Which version you got pls? Did u come from a MacBook Pro?

Well I use to about 8 years ago then got a iMac. Which is 5 years old. So want a portable again

Compared to an 8YO MBP or a 5YO iMac, Surfacebook performance should be astonishing.

Landwomble works for Microsoft, so has more familiarity with their products than most.
