I have the 2018 iPad Pro 11” and wondered how I can get my SSD to work via the USB C port. Using the standard enclosure and it seems there’s not enough power

I can only surmise it is a power handling issue......because I read that the most up to date iPad can power SSD and even HDD.

So, a powered Hub or a Rav power router device?
 
I found out the issue, the charge cable supplied can’t be used as a data cable with my enclosure, and my SSD was encrypted so needed to re-format. All good now
 
What enclosure are you using just out of interest?
