Midlands Suggestions on night spots around midlands

So my birthday is coming up in early october, and i have managed to get the weekend off for a change and was thinking i should use the weekend to go do some photography.. however i'm out of ideas. I live in Birmingham and don't mind travelling a couple hours, just wanna make the most of the whole weekend. Any ideas on good locations for some landscape or unusual night photography places, ideally in the midlands area? Last weekend i had off i went up to yorkshire moors and whitby and loved it (whitby abbey, an old castle ruins also and the moors themselves), but it was just too much travelling for the time I had.
