Suggestions for 'electric forest' photography

Tripod and remote shutter release would be a good start :)

Then it's just a case of playing with aperture/shutter/ISO to get the right exposure.

Personally I think I'd try and keep the aperture to around f8 for general shots and the ISO around 100/200 and use long exposures to let the colours in.
 
I would also be prepared to use the cover on your viewfinder and liveview, as if there are lots of people walking around with torches you could easily have a good shot ruined by someones torch.
