Maybe Adele or DiddyDave could answer this one for me, but i am not sure.

If once i have set-up my studio and i get some customers wanted a self portrait or family photos etc. Is it best that i get everyone to sign a Model Release form before they come in to the studio?

Do you need to do it or is it something you can choose?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Shameless bump but i need to know :D

why not put it in the actual photography section not OOF as people may read it,

and i have no idea, apart from i think that the model release is only if you are using it commericaly

Didn't put it in the photography section as i didn't know which one.

We are asking our customers to sign model release when they actually picking photos

Ah i see

So could i write up on a up on Word saying what i am going to use the images for and if it is alright to do so? Do i need a signature?

Maybe, was thinking if i had any come backs i could show them the signature

PP them, Print them out and give them to the client.

yup. think you only need model release if your gonna sell the images commercialy.
we usualy get clients to sign something, if they agree, that says we can use the shots in our advertising.
but we'd only get a model release , if we had a model in , to sell the shots later.
