Hello,
I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ50 (Nothing too fancy!) I have Interfit Twin Venus 300 Lighting Kit. I am using a flash transmitter on the camera's hot shoe. THe flash will fire when my camera is in Automatic but when I change to say Aperture Setting, my camera wont change from F4 (It changes through all the F stops when its not connected to flash kit) Has anyone any ideas??

Just guessing here, but my guess is that the camera doesn't (can't) know that you're using flash, therefore it's forcing the f/4 aperture because it 'thinks' it needs it for the light conditions.

But it's academic anyway as you need to set the camera to manual, not to any automatic setting.

It won't work on any camera setting. Tried manual.

Not sure about your model but I would imagine that somewhere in the menu is the answer.

Have a look at the flash settings for external flash and enable it. Also make sure that you haven't forced flash off somewhere in the flash menu.

HTH,

Andy
