There's a group test of "affordable" studio lighting in the new issue (128) of Digital Photo magazine. I'm pleased to say my own choice of Lencarta came out very well - my only gripe is the kit now seems to come with bags for the heads and stands, where as mine came in cardboard boxes :-(
Seriously, it's worth a read if you are thinking of trying studio flash.
 
I've just ordered a Lancarta set up ... I'll let you know if it's a bag or box delivery!
 
Shame about the bag for the lights... I bought my set a couple of months ago and didn't get one, although I notice that the "BAG001" is now listed as part of the kit on the Lencarta site and it's £40 on it's own :eek: :( Needless to say, my heads are still kept in their boxes :thinking:

Not seen the review, but good to see they're getting some press :)
 
well the flashes come in boxes but i think you get a roller bag to carry now not sure.

The mag is no good for me lol i've already got my flashes and so far so good :) had another shoot with my lencarta's last night and they worked flash after flash :).

Might pick up the issues just to have a look though.

is it bad that i just leave my flashes on the stands with the modifiers on, is it better to keep them in the boxes? or is it just a space issue?
 
The all come in boxes. Genuine best quality cardboard jobbies, brought to your door by DHL:)

Nearly all kits now include a free bag for the heads worth £20, instead of the free bag for the stands worth £20.

So can I buy the bag BAG001 for £20 as that's the one that appears to be included with the smartflash kit...? ;)
