Got a friend coming over later for a photoshoot - Wish me luck! :D

Looks pretty good that, nice room too

mutters something about those rafters and how you could hang a lighting setup wth softboxes off them

TBH, I'm hoping not to touch the join in the middle... The widest material I could find was 1.5m - So I bought 2 lengths! It only cost me £8 for the lot of it, so I can't complain!! :)

I'm using film and black and white and just want the black as a background - It's hopefully not going to be picked up much as I'm hoping not to get any light on it at all!

I'll turn the film into digital though, so if anything does come up, I'll edit it out! Just fingers crossed that it doesn't!

Looks good and should give you enough space to work.

Do you have deadline for "getting this mess cleared away"?

Nice set up

where did you get the material and what kind of material is that?

i'm after something nice and dark like that for a little projet, at the minute all i have is sheets of A4 card:shake:

:plusone: I'd like to know too. Good luck with the shoot:thumbs:

I use rolls of photographic backdrop paper. I get 20yds on a roll for about $20 and it comes in all sorts of colours.

Unfortunately it's only 48in wide so like the OP I have to join it.

DOUBLE POST

I bought mine from Dunelm. Any good fabric retailer should be a goldmine for togs. Go for something that is not shiny and has a decent weight to it and you should be fine.

Good luck with the shoot :)

First shot of the evening is in!! :D

I will make a thread and post some of the others up when I have the chance! (These are the digital ones, I did some film ones, too!)

As for the fabric, I bought it from a little local trader here in Hereford - It's synthetic and is therefore a bit weightier and less see-through!!

It was on sale at £1 per metre! :)
