Hi I am looking for a studio to use, does anybody know of a good local one that has good equipment and reasonable hire charges,

There's one in Whitwick, just round the corner! I've never used it myself, but it looks well equipped.

The studio is at Charles Martin Photography on Church Lane.
 
Hi Keith,

not tried it myself but there is one with 1000 square feet of space and Bowens lights - various backdrops etc at Tamworth. Give Helen a ring on 07877 303172.

When I spoke with her last time, the half day rate was £50 & full day £90 inclusive of lighting and refreshments and help on hand with the equipment. Not bad for that lot!

Mention my name and you will get charged double! lol

I've used Charlie Martin's studio in Whitwick. It's in part of a factory and if you go on the weekends/evenings you can sometimes get access to the rest of the building (which has plenty of character). Charlie has a lot of lighting gear and is a thoroughly nice guy too. My only word of warning would be that anywhere outside the studio (i.e. the rest of the factory) is absolutely freezing this time of year but the studio space itself is heated.

crazy big and well equipped studio. Think they call themselves 'thestudiofactory' on MM etc.
 
Sounds good actually, I may have to give it a go when next up at home :lol: (parents live in Thringstone, used to live in Loughborough)
 
Many thanks for the information Guys and I will check them out, Just had a couple of sessions at Bright lights studio at Dracott which is very good and cheap
