Hi guys

I've got a Dynasun wof4001 bulb that I use for lighting LINK
and am interested in using a wireless transmitter to control it with my 350D. I'm currently using my on camera flash to trigger it.

I've been looking at this wireless trigger LINK
can anyone see any reasons why it wont work? Is there another way?

Has anyone tried one of these triggers? any good? It's an area I know very little about :(

Also - whats the Xsync cord for? Doesn't the receiver with the adaptor go directly into the studio light?

Thanks

Allan

I have a very similar radio unit I paid £50 for. It's great, as about 50% of the time it triggers the flash - of course this means the rest of the time you've missed the shot. As I often shoot kids (bang yer dead), that's a pain - but for less time dependent stuff it's fine.

I quickly replaced it with a flash trigger from theflashcentre. This is a 'dark' flash which is great in my studio, but not much good if you want to use studio flash outside on a sunny day.

The sync cord plugs into the key light, and the receiver just hangs from it.

You can have my radio trigger for a very good price!

Well if Allan has already got himself one on ebay.....I'll bite your hand off for that, Dave!! :D

Best wait till he gets up to find out!!

Allan has got one off ebay, so I will go for it David!

We've have no end of bother with wireless triggers so gone back to wired :s
I guess i should look around some more for a decent system.

50% of the shots being triggered was about right, plus time cursing and fiddling.

My wife and I spent a 4hr studio session today using the very same trigger/receiver set up and didn't miss a single shot. I've also got the older (cheaper) twin channel trigger and receiver which has also worked faultlessly apart from when the trigger's battery began to fail (which caused intermittent firing) Got a replacement from my local Tesco :)

I believe this would be used on Courtney units and early Interfit EX150 units though sadly can't remember why...something to do with polarity?
