Hi guys,

I recently went on a photography course in London which was a gift. I found the course quite basic but picked up a few pointers and generally had fun. Since the course I have decided I would like to try a session in a studio and was wondering if anyone knew of any courses where you could go along for the first time and generally pick the minds of tutors. As I have said, I have never been in one before and would like to try to use my camera to the best of it's ability and see what I can learn.

Have a look on Calumet website. I am pretty sure they have a branch in Nottingham and run courses on various subjects.

they do. check out nottingham strobists on flickr too, just started up, based out of a studio. I'm around here too, might organise a meetup soon...watch this space.
 
No, It was a 'Going Digital' course in London. I believe they are nationwide but as I was on the course for the day the Mrs fancied a day of shopping so London it was.
 
James, a mate of mine runs studio lighting courses in Grantham, not far from Notts he goes through setting up, metering, using different types of lighting, reflectors & modifiers and you also get the chance to shoot top page 3 girl Amy Green in the price which I think is around the £80 mark, pm me if you would like his details.
