Hello,

I have asked this before and i wondered if any experienced togs on here offer any sort of studio consultancy, where by you might be willing to come to a studio and advice and run a bit of training?

I was due to go on a Lencarta training day and disappointingly it was cancelled and was looking for a similar thing but to be run at my studio, so am happy to pay, if it the cost is too steep, we could look at getting others to come along on pay but ideal 1-1 would be nice.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Cancelled with the option to book on the next one, and wasn't informed until i was double checking the address otherwise i would have been on my way to Bradford.

So after waiting a month to attend and then going to have to wait another month i thought i would try alternative options.

As I made clear to you by PM yesterday, everyone was sent an email as soon as my flight was booked, over a week ago. I'm sorry that you didn't receive it, but there is nothing that I can do about that.

I would much rather have run a lighting workshop than be sweltering here in the Shanghai summer (although they tell me it's really only spring here and quite cool). Another member of the Lencarta team will replace me here when I go back, it will be even hotter for him:lol:

Actually I did do a bit of photography today; I photographed a very beautiful Chinese girl in my hotel bedroom. NO, NOT LIKE THAT! she's the girlfriend of a friend and photographing her with nothing more than window light reminded me how much easier it is with controllable lights:)

I appreciate that plans change, i was just unfortunate to not have received the email and would have been more frustrated had i set of to Bradford, just thankful i smiled to check your address.

I had waited for the course and was holding off some shoots til after the course, so you can see my frustration with it being cancelled. The chance are i will book on the next course anyway.

May have been the remnants of the old courses. To be honest, the current site is having a last gasp before we put it down. Just waiting for the incubator to spit out the new one :naughty:

The next 2 courses are here. And there is also a link to Location lighting courses on the same page.

As Michael says, the website isn't doing the job that we and our customers need it too. Right now we can't even upload new photos to it:( But we're finally getting close to getting a brand new one:)
 
It's possible, there are probably several TP members on here who could help you - but it would be very expensive...

Think in terms of a skilled studio photographer's day rate, plus travel costs and I think it will become clear why most training groups involve the attendance of 6 or 8 people at the photographer's own studio - and the course that I had to postpone isn't even run at a profit because the sponsors (hopefully) get some good public relations out of doing it. What you're asking for would have to involve a profit.
