hi all,
I'm at Exeter and Xmedia online (our online media thingy) are entering a guardian student media competition so I had a look and there's a category for Student Photographer of the Year (below). I thought I would point it out to the people on here (I know there are a few other students) and to see if anyone knew anything else about it.
If anyone has any advice on the nature of a "supporting statement or narrative that provides a context or narrative for your image" would be helpful as I guess its a backstory and It's limited to 300 words so can't be too involved, I'll pick a picture and try a narrative and come back with it maybe.....

Runner-up: £400
How to enter: Send us five prints of your best photograph with your name marked clearly on the back. Please attach a short supporting statement (300 words max) that provides a context or narrative for your image. Enclose five copies of the completed entry form.
Please note: Your work should either have been published in the student press OR you must be a full-time student, in which case the work can be unpublished, but of publishable quality.
