Hi all, I finished a photography course last year which I really enjoyed, but since then and a few knock backs and I havent really had the motivation or inspiration to search for a photo.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get back to my old trigger happy days?! lol.

In case anyone is interested some of my previous photo's are on http://www.flickr.com/photos/47340234@N02

Some nice stuff there Mark

Have you had a look in the Meeting Place section here on TP to see if there are any gatherings local to you in the near future? That might be good way to get the creative juices flowing again :)

The Millenium bridge is a good one and with people on it, dont you fancy some candids out n about

new things are always good to try, find something thats missing from your collection and build it up, even make a small A3 size portfolio and aim to get a good range in there maybe?

And definitely get into macro! you will be hooked.

I like the star trails photo but they are all very good, maybe you'd like to join the challenge 52 its not a competition sort of a different challenge every week. It runs all year but you can do catch up and then people discuss your photos and likewise.
This weather is getting better and we'll all be able to get those cameras out.

Some great photos there! I wish I had taken many of those!
Hope you find your motivation to keep trying, the lighter nights and promise of summer should help offer new opportunities.

Was the self portrait and dripping tap arrangement meant? Made me laugh!

I was thinking the same as you at the start of the year. I joined the 52 on here and it's made me, (and that's the important thing here), think of different things and challenge what photos I would usually take.

You can easily get bored of taking the same photos in the same locations...

Hi Mark,

To rekindle your love of photography I cannot recommend enough meeting with other folk. Let us know where you are, I am sure some will be happy to meet up.

Regards

Chris
