Evening all..

My quandry is this, Ive owned the Sony A7 MK2 since new in 2020, its done less than 17K pics, so still pretty low., I also have the Zeiss 24-70mm f4 and the 70-200mm again for the Sony, I get how the a7 mk2 is old in terms of functions, However it is FF. I used to own this and the Nikon ZFC, owning the ZFC meant I fell back in love with Nikon again, it was my Birthday last week and I picked up a used Nikon Z50 and heres my issue, ive fallen back in love with Nikon.

So im kinda thinking its time for the Sony gear to go. Whats the best way ? I have my websites and also eBay business but do i sell as one lot or look for someone to swap with ?

For the Nikon Z I have the Voltox 23mm 1.4 and the 24-70mm f4.

Thanks.

If I fell in love with a camera brand, I'd think in terms of seeing a counsellor ...

Separate, and sell to dealer for an easy life & take the hit - or separate, and sell on ebay - but my feeling about that is that you have to be very good at honest & detailed description to be truly validated as a seller - there are so many chancers on there, & in photo stuff it's as if many don't have a total clue what they're selling, judging by the gaps in their descriptions ...

But it takes all sorts & my main theme is that separating is more productive than bundling ...

Yea just looking now tho I see Neewer make them for the same price and Neewer about £100 less, has anyone any experience using this setup??

OK Not in LOVE <3

Just I always used to shoot Nikon and since getting the Z50 I feel for some reason raw files are much better in low light ?

IF you have a decent camera shop nearby and want/need some new/fresh kit, trading the Sony stuff in against the new would be my choice. That way, the shop can see exactly what they'll be getting (as far as condition goes) and so can you. You'll usually get a better deal on trade in kit than selling to a shop.

I'd seriously think what lenses you want and then see which system is better. I was a happy Nikon shooter for years but when moving to mirrorless Sony's lenses were generally smaller and lighter than Nikon's for the lenses I use.

For example Sony 70-200mm f2.8 GM II weighs 1045g, the NIkon 70-200mm f2.8 S weighs 1360g and is larger
The Sony 5mm f1.2 GM weighs 778g, the Nikon 50mm f1.2 S weighs 1090g and is much larger.

Obviously the ZFc and Z50 are APS-c/DX and there's not many DX lenses for the Nikon Z system.
