No
anyone all set up for the morning?

nice idea here I been experimenting and it works well but begs for an on axis fill, shame santa aint bringing me a 580exII and rayflash but I still likey

it's emilys first christmas so worth the effort methinks

:( I have a yn460 coming down the chimney, which combined with the oldest school film flash in the world gives me 2 for the room and one for on axis fill

I was thinking of getting the yn460 version 2 when Flash in the Pan gets them.

but I got mine for crimbo

not allowed to unwrap the light stand early so one of the lights is held up by the most secure light stand in the world, a 'frotto 055 :D

got some batteries ready for when I unwrap the yn :D

no on axis fill for when amelia see's her bike though....

if you've got a pc cord, could always use (*shudder*) built in flash on your camera, and transmitter off the pc port >_< VERY on axis lol...

uh, I'll probably stick a light on cls in opposite corners of the room, but will prolly just live at 1.4, kill the flash and not bother really :p

I just asked Mr Rudesing but he won't let me wake up his parents, get my lights from under their bed and set up the living room for a photographic Xmas morning.

How rude :D

all set up, looked **** as both mine are on hte same wall so I sent one scimming the ceiling zoomed to 200mm to bounce down more evenly and that looks nicer, on the still room at least.

Pics to follow once they're uploaded and flickr'd

I have considered it but no manual control on canon inbuilts and at -2eV its still too aggressive

Saw that thread too - thought it was an interesting way of ensuring good piccies on the big day AND the fact you can hand the camera to anyone and the lighting will be good. Trouble with my front room it it's not massive so finding room for two lights is in itself, a big ask....

Did this with the SB800 on a TTL cord bounced off the wall though - little Charlie's first xmas.....

I let mine be in frame as if you ask me photography is part of the family :D

I'll see if the management will let me post pics (they're a bit funny bout the internet and little uns)

2ft softbox in the bay window (pretending to be daylight...)

Not the sharpest shot, but the reaction was priceless!!

I use rf602s, triggered the camera inthe group pic I took - used the 430 on a cord and the yn as an optical slave for that

I followed the strobist crimbo plan, will pop some shots up in a bit!
