Straw bales

hi, I'm looking for straw bales in a corn field for a project. All the fields around here, Essex, herts are still full of corn still standing. When is it turned into bales for harvest? Calling all farmers for help!

Hi, I'm based in Essex and herts border not north England even through I love the landscapes up there. Not sure what happened to my first post

They started harvesting the barley last week in East Anglia but you've a couple of weeks before it will really get going.. assuming the weather is dry enough. Plenty of hay being cut and baled last week before the rain forecast for today. Looking back at my own images, I'm generally not photographing wheat being cut until mid-August.

You're not one of them townies by any chance?
