Strap without clips?

Can anyone recommend a decent after-market camera strap which doesn't have quick release clips like all the Optech ones seem to. Don't trust them at all I'm afraid.
 
I was wary at first, but know i walk round with a 5D, 300 2.8 and 2X converter all hanging on an optech, i do support the weight by holding the rim of the lens hood while walking but will quite happily let go to free hands for say looking through binoculars.
 
Same, I wasn't keen on the clips on the optech but then I got one and realised it will take a lot of force to unclip them.
 
Ok maybe I'll try an Optech one then - any recommendations on specific models?
 
I don't remember which one I got in the end, but it's just plain black with no branding on it, prefered it without the lettering etc.

Which is fine, but I prefer nothing at all on the strap. Then it doesn't scream "enthusiast so probably worth a quid or two..." As if the D2x could ever be stealth :lol:
