Strange marks...Any ideas...

I noticed this morning on my Nikon D700 these strange marks on the screen. Just wondered if any one else has ever came across these. Doesn't affect anything apart me knowing they are there now.

Never seen it before ... looks like the wandering grazing trip of some sort of bug!
 
Looks like something sharp has been scraping the screen while you walked with the camera. Is it on the inside or outside?
 
It's on the inside of the screen.
 
Did it, so to speak, appear from one day to the next?

As now stated it is inside(under the protective cover) that too is what occurred to me :thinking:

Plus the fact that it varies in line density...........an excitement trail?

Does the camera rattle if you shake it? I'd say it very much looks like something loose inside has done this.
 
I reckon Gramps has the answer - tiny bug burrows between screen and protector.

It's actually inside the screen not between screen and protector.
 
Has the screen got damaged by a zipper? Or something else knocking the screen. When in a bag or around your neck?

Bugs get between the LCD display and the external glass in many display types. :)
