Anyone shot here? Shooting Ireland v West Indies there this week. Mainly looking for information on shooting positions and size. Probably go with a 600mm but could got 800mm if needed.

Any info much appreciated.

Stormont is a decent ground to shoot at. Has some nice dark trees to shoot into for a nice dark background, especially if the sun is out. There is also a balcony at the clubhouse where you can shoot down into the wicket for a plain green background.

And a 600 will do you fine.

Whilst sipping tea and nibbling cucumber sandwiches?

Fun fact - when Ireland smashed the WIndes in 1969, they took them on a brewery tour of St James Gate the night before!!!

Get there early enough and get a spot at the front of the media tent, and you can pretty much shot and send at the same time... whilst sipping tea and nibbling cucumber sandwiches.

In fact, that's why I love cricket. Man bowls a few balls, someone tries to hit them, then everyone stops for a nice long break and food. Never played in crap weather, and everyone is polite. Best sport.
