I've always used a small low priced laptop, now elderly, to store our day to day images when away from home.
It doesn't want to do it anymore!
Two cameras but only up to about 100/150 images a day...normally!
What small handy and low priced product can I use as temporary storage....USB and all Windows on our home PCs.

Or should I go for a newer small laptop?

Android tablet with large micro sd card,OTG cable and card reader with usb and upload to cloud when you have a wifi connection

Been using a Surface Pro tablet (Windows 10), detachable keyboard and a couple of external Samsung T5 SSD's on the road for a few years now with no problems. Just plug the SSD into my PC when I get home :)

I use my iPad as temporary storage on those ocassions I don't have the laptop. This was always in my mind when searching for an iPad so I bought one with plenty of memory.

Apple make an adaptor that takes an SD card (I think there's one for CF card too) and the simple act of plugging it onto the iPad gives you the option copy the image files across. Simples !

Thanks for all your comments...I'll probably go for a refurbished fairly low spec Surface Pro over the next few months.....when we can travel that is!

I have plenty of external drives....Also require normal computer facilities for occasional WiFi and internet...Sorry I didn't actually mention that!
Thanks again.:)
