thanks all

hadn't thought of the zip-lock...thanks Mark

Unless it's expired, you don't plan to use it for several years or you live in a very hot place then just store them in a drawer or something, i just have mine in a box under the bed, no problems.

....well a cold kitchen larder in a stone farmhouse cottage in Scotland doesn't exactly fit into a ''hot place''

thanks................

In fairness John, that description of the farmhouse kitchen would probably be fine for that number of films. As I live in a centrally heated home, the controls of which are set for the comfort of my Dad - who I swear would barely remove his jumper if he was sat in a blast furnace, I have to take slightly more stringent measures

thank God you dont live here

Even in the depths of last winters freeze, I was wandering around the house in shorts and t-shirt, and still feeling generally a little too warm.

Leave the films in their original plastic canisters and as others have said, put them in a tupperware container (other plastic boxes are available...).

Before using them, just leave them for a few hours to reach normal room temp and for any moisture to evaporate before using them though.

Well I don't know if things have changed but it used to be:- consumer film was designed for shelves in shops so it matured over time, and I supposed the expiry date was a safety factor but we all know you can go past it. Pro film used to be:- use ASAP.
So if you ain't got a fridge don't worry about consumer film if e.g. kept in a drawer.
