Bit of help needed please.

I've just got a Sigma 150-500mm to play with.
It was a bit of an impulse buy, I'd never seen one in the flesh until it was delivered. It's a bit bigger than I thought so now I've run into a bag problem.

Current bag is a Kata 3N1 20 which I quite like.
After a bit of jiggling I can get the Sigma fitted to a D5000 into and out of the side opening fairly easily......BUT

In order to do this the camera+lens have to point upwards when on my back. The opposite of more traditional backpacks.

Do you think there will be problems with carrying the camera like this?

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I hoped it would be ok.
My concern was that unlike normal vertical storage with the body at the top instead my camera body would be at the bottom and be taking the full weight of the lens.
Thought it might get crushed.

Worrying over nothing I guess.

I wouldn't think it's a problem. Even the plastic bodied cameras will take a lot of force before giving in.
But I wouldn't put the bag down too hard if I were you ;)
