Wanted to share this one, and assumed there would be many other amusing stories out there..

I spend a few hours late last night in a graveyard, capturing this:

Halfway through the shots, a neighbour to the graveyard arrived home, illuminating me with their headlights. I stood perfectly still looking away, hoping not to be noticed, so I could continue my shoot I disturbed and without alarming anyone. I'm not sure this worked. Eventually, the lights went off, but someone seemed to stayed near the front of their house, under their porch light, apparently looking my way. At this point I turned to face them. Still not moving, I waiting for the porch lights to eventually go out and returned my thoughts to my shoot. I do now wander though, how freaked out the person must have been to see a figure doing apparently nothing in a graveyard at midnight!

I'm looking forward to over-hearing news of a new ghost in the churchyard at the next party in the village :)

Anyone else caused confusion by being somewhere unexpected for a shoot?

I was doing a portrait shoot for a musician at Blueprint studios in Manchester, we were taking a break while she got changed and i heard some music coming from one of the upstairs rooms, i recognised this faint song through the floor as an Elbow song and thought someone must be using it as a backing track. As i'm sat reviewing through the images i'd taken, the "backing track" turned out to actually be the band upstairs rehersing and they came down through the lobby we were shooting in.

So sods law dictates that my camera gets stuck in read only mode due to the reviewing of images, when my favourite band walks past. Luckily my mate had his camera to hand and got a picture of me and one of my musical icons, just as the drummer tripped over the light stand behind him
