Not sure if anyone has posted this before (apologies if they have). Found this video which was created entirely from 45,000 Photographs taken by a Nikon D200 DSLR. This Photographs were stitched together to create the illusion of video. I wonder how many bodies they went through?

Pretty impressive

45,000 shots? That D200 will be almost run in then! (IIRC, the D3's [yes, I know the D3 is a fully pro camera and the D200 is semi-pro] shutter is guaranteed for 300,000 cycles.)

Hmmmmmm,

Tiz impressive indeed and it must have taken those guys ages but, I cant help thinking....why:shrug:....why didn't they just use a video camera and lose 2 frames out of every five to get the same effect ?

Am I just been a stick in the mud ?

Cos they only had an SLR to hand? ;)

B.

I would imagine the bit of playing they did with pulling focus and dof they would of needed a very big 35mm camera to get similar results. A 2k DV camera just wont cut it if that's the sorta stuff you want to do the sensor is nowhere near big enough.

Really good.

On a similar theme one of Nick Parks Wallace and Gromit films was shot on a 1dmk2.
