Stolen Kit in Aberdeen

Hi everyone,

This post goes out mainly to members in the Aberdeen/North East Scotland area.

I was shooting a friends bands gig in Drummonds on Belmont St, Aberdeen on Sunday night and had my kit stolen from the venue.

Could everyone please be on the lookout for
someone selling cheap gear!

What was taken
Canon 7D
Canon battery grip
Sigma 24-70 f2.8, new version
Spare battery in the grip
Sandisk 8gb memory card.

Police have the guy in custody, but he knows nothing about the whereabouts of the kit.
CCTV was clear as a bell!!

Any info would be great!
I can supply serial nos etc if required.

you should supply the details and serial numbers to all the pawn brokers, camera shops and CEX type places round that way.

Knowing the way our justice system works he will be released within a few hours and probably get some community service!

I know the feeling, had a 40D stolen a few years ago, at the very least they caught the ****!

Phone round the local pawn shops wondering if they have any good cameras, I wouldnt mention stolen goods, they'll prob deny all knowledge straight away!

the box for the lens doesn't have any serial codes on it??

thanks for all replies, the guy was in court yesterday and pled not guilty, so he obviously doesn't realise the cctv is so clear!

just had update to appear in court in the new year, and the insurance is covering all my kit!!
