I've joined a couple of stock photography sites this week and starting to upload some stuff. Today I started using 500px. Anyone else using them? I have a question re the page for uploading the photos. The field for License has "500px License" as default. Does that mean I shouldn't have the images on other stock sites, or am I okay to do that?

THanks

I don't use stock photography, I can only answer based on what I read about stock photography some years ago. In theory, you can have the same photographs send (uploaded) to a number of stock photography, no different from if you were a freelance photojournalist and send the same photographs to any newspapers. Well that's what I think.

Well, those stock photography websites, they should have FAQ pages, it may explain what the 500px License mean.

Thanks all, think I've got it now. Doesn't help that they all use slightly different jargon.

Read the 500px license, and read the license at any other sites you're looking to upload to.

I did, and I do. Just wasn't sure that I was understanding it fully and didn't want to make a mistake and wondered if anyone else on here was using them.

All good now though.

I'm pretty sure Getty don't let you sell the same image or even similar ones elsewhere.

Yeah, and you can only sell prints of an image you have on Getty if they're done as numbered limited editions.
